This Orange Glazed Pork Tenderloin is both delicious and easy to make. Pork tenderloin is one of the most tender cuts of pork and only needs to be cooked for a short time. It can be grilled, baked, or sauteed. My husband loves a pork shoulder or butt with all the fat and I admit that those cuts can be delicious but you do have to cook them much longer to get that tender and juicy meat. A pork loin is delicious and lower in fat but much dryer and also has to be cooked longer than a pork tenderloin. So the pork tenderloin requires a short cooking time and with a rub or the addition of a glaze or sauce it can be delicious in a short time.
Pork tenderloin usually comes in a package of two tenderloins, so I thought it was a good opportunity to make two different versions, this Orange Glazed Pork Tenderloin and a Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin with a sweet maple glaze, but more about the bacon wrapped one later. PORK TENDERLOIN IS ONE OF THE LEANEST CUTS OF PORK. IT ONLY HAS 6 GRAMS OF FAT IN A 4 OZ PORTION. IT’S ALSO HIGH IN PROTEIN, 23 GRAMS IN A 4OZ SERVING. THIS RECIPE WILL NOT ADD ANY EXTRA FAT TO THE DISH.
One of my favorite flavors is orange marmalade. For this recipe I used orange marmalade and brown sugar combined with dijon mustard, soy sauce and worcestershire
