Berry Yogurt and Spinach Smoothie

As part of my 2 week try to lose 8 pounds, I have been making yogurt smoothies for breakfast.  Here is one of my favorite ones, Berry Yogurt and Spinach Smoothie.   It is high in protein because of the Greek Yogurt and the spinach and kale.  Wow, 22 grams of protein in 1 cup of Greek yogurt.    Then I added in frozen blueberries.  The frozen fruit will give your smoothie a thick consistency.   Adding Spinach and Kale to the smoothie will give you lots of healthy vitamins.

My grandchildren don’t like to eat Spinach or Kale but they will eat them disguised in a smoothie. They think it is a treat and so do I.   That’s why I put it in a martini glass.  Seems so elegant that way!

So I’ve lost 4 lbs in 1 week.   I’m mostly eating protein, vegetables, and fruits.  The smoothie is a great way to get in all 3.
