LINDA'S HOMEMADE SALSA
Homemade Salsa is so easy to make and the flavors really taste fresh, you can control the amount of salt and spice to make it perfect for your tastes. In American countries, salsa usually refers to the dip or sauce that is put on Mexican food. Salsa has become so popular now you can get it in all different flavors and with or without tomatoes. Salsa is low calorie, tasty, easy to make and enhances the flavor of all types of meats as well as beans. See the picture at the bottom of the page on how I used it on my Poblano Pepper Dish that is stuffed with eggs, shrimp, bacon and cheese. My favorite is still the traditional tomato, garlic, onion, jalapeno and cilantro with lime juice. This recipe was inspired from Alton Brown's recipe on the Food Network. I reworked it to make it for 2-4 people.
